Photo Series: Rain

Hey,
since the past few days have been characterised by periods of pleasant summer rain, my passion for photography more or less urged me to grab my little but beloved camera to take some pictures in order to capture the beauty of this fascinating natural phenomenon that is rain, respectively of its remnants after the fall that give the environment a whole new atmosphere - even if only for an instant.
Raindrops on a window pane are a pretty popular photo subject - certainly for good reasons.
I am loving the remarkable contrast from soft focus to detailed view in this one.
Also, the rich shade of green in which meadows illuminate after a refreshing load of rain is such a satisfactory sight.
Here we have a really nice play of colours.
It appears as though the raindrops intensify each individual colour by multiplying its shades, only emphasizing the contrast from colour to colour.
Bright light breaking through the leaves, signalising the end of the storm.
Ivy that has grown all the way around a small brick pillar.
And, last but not least, one of my favourite shots: Thick raindrops covering the back of a dark green leaf, slowly dripping off bead by bead.

I hope you liked this kind of impressions displaying rain and perhaps even share my predilection for that type of weather or got a slightly more positive opinion on it in case you are usually not too fond of it. For me, personally, it is of great importance to try and always make the best of the circumstances given, regardless of how hard it may seem at first. You should for your own sake do so, too.

Jacky x
