Recipe: Raspberry Banana Smoothie

Hey,
I do not know about you, but for me there is no beverage as enjoyable in summer as a cool smoothie. No matter what kind you go for, it is the ultimate refreshment and can additionally be pretty healthy if you prefer fruit-based variants. Furthermore, the effort is minimal, which makes the whole experience even better than it already is.
Now, a few days ago I noticed a banana on the shelf that was obviously past its sell-by date and tried to think of a way to still make use of it other than eating it, eventually coming to the simple yet ingenious conclusion to turn it into a smooth drink. Nevertheless, my taste buds clearly desired something more berryish and therefore led my brain to a combination that tastes almost like the typical mix of cherry and banana: raspberry and banana! It really is nothing extraordinary, however from time to time a bit of simplicity indeed is the key to satisfaction. The only ingredients necessary are:

1 banana
150 grams (1 1/5 cups) raspberries
300 millilitres (1 1/4 cups) milk
1 tablespoon sugar

Put everything in a blender and mix for about two minutes until it becomes a slightly thick fluid.
I recommend choosing frozen raspberries since that spares you from having to add some ice to the blender to get a cold outcome. The amount should be sufficient for two large or three medium-sized smoothies. I hope you enjoy!

Cheers! Jacky x
